Well I sold the bike back today, not for as much as I thought I was going to get but still it was a great adventure and I don’t regret spending a little extra.  Didn’t want to wait until the last minute to try and sell it so this is a reasonable day to sell it since Saturday and Sunday banks are closed   So for the next two days I guess I’ll be walking around. I’m gonna try taking a bus downtown and see how that goes. This time I’ll be able to walk around without having to figure out where to park safely and legally and also I won’t have to be wearing that heavy motorcycle jacket anymore. In this heat it’s kind of a comfort killer. Came from last night’s hotel to the bike shop to discuss selling the bike.  Got my two suitcases and brought them to the hotel where I am now.  For some reason I seem to have one of the few rooms that has no air-conditioning but it doesn’t seem to be that bad, tonight is cool and I probably won’t be in that room much in the daytime.  I came back after eating and  there was a big group of students about 17-18 years old I’d guess, sitting in a circle in the lounge of the hotel and they’re all discussing their current coming up trip to Washington DC for two weeks where they’re going to homestay tour around in either Charlottesville, VA and half of them in Kansas City Missouri  and they asked me to join them and so I said well sure you can ask me anything you want in English so we had a long talk about America my family my trip you know the usual and I was talking to them about all the stuff they were planning on doing. They really curious about America and all the s...

What an incredible day.  I Left the  hotel started down a beautiful Rd with lots of curves, lots of far reaching views, and when I first saw San Jose volcano I couldn’t believe it was such a beautiful site with three no less glaciers on it On the way back down, I saw that roadside stand where I met Javier and Maria and it was being run by two ladies and a guy who is in charge of the rock store down below that.   We had a great conversation all about mostly about mining destroying the country, because Javier told them that he was a mining engineer, so that was an interesting, political discussion which I managed to keep up with About half way since they were speaking regular speed to each other. I had a conversation before they got going on that so I was OK just trying to follow along.    And then I I passed this hotel that I’m in now which I had passed the night before andI hadn’t stayed here because the gate was closed. I thought they were already closed for th...
