Finally with Daughters’ help think I have it figured out

Firstly for those that didn’t hear this last year, this is mostly a way for me to be able to remember what happened on the trip

I don’t have time to reply to comments sorry

As most of you know my phone is kaput for internet and cellular service. Only when I’m at a hotel and have WiFi can I do anything

Makes it difficult to get info on the road such as what hotels and where are they

But contrary to US assumptions rooms are no problem if you can find a hotel.  Haven’t been turned away yet

Fortunately, I have downloaded maps so don’t have to keep asking for directions anymore

No time to go back to before today

Left village in France this morning and it was nice but kept going up in elevation and I was almost ready to stop and put another jacket on when I got to the top and so I didn’t and we immediately started going downhill and by the time I got to the bottom, it was 85 (30C)

Bottle caps stay attached unlike at home

Never seen a hotel that provides umbrellas before but that just shows you how I don’t stay very high class hotels

This a live shot but if you can’t see it, it’s flashing my speed and between the flashing of the speeds it shows the smiley face because I’m under the speed limit never seen that before except in Chile

My first castle this trip in Kayserburg

No idea why the photos showed up in the middle of my text, but I’m new at this still since I don’t remember anything about how I did it when I did it for Chile

so that was great

But at the bottom there was there were no more cornfields and wheatfields. It was big time forest and I got into the Alsace Lorraine grape area.    Vineyards as far as you could see

Traffic started getting heavier and when I got here in  Basel, I realized why, a bazillion tourists. Can’t wait to get out of here back in the country side.  It appears that drug companies abound here.

Another first for me, I got kicked out of a restaurant.  As I was driving through a small village, I saw a Wi-Fi zone big sign on the front door of a restaurant so I went in and I asked them for the Wi-Fi password and neither of the waitresses knew but they said we’ll find it and give it to you but right now what do you want to order.  Well until I get the password I don’t wanna stay here because if I need to use the Internet, I need to contact people One waitress went back and talked to the other waitress and then came back and said to me you can’t eat here. We don’t wanna serve you get out so I left.  So there still are a few people who don’t like Americans, although I’m only assuming.

Please excuse all punctuation, spelling and grammar mistakes since I’m using voice to text a lot

When I got to this hotel in downtown Basil, I found out that I needed a third adapter. The French one is a big round one and I have one for that but the Swiss one is a thin one and my adapter wouldn’t fit in there, but fortunately, the hotel guys had one.

My hotel has low-key ac, a big fan that is lol.  Before global warming It never got hot enough to need one up here

Good job I like hot even though a lot of people are whining

Off to Slovenia tomorrow I hope

I’ll try to figure out by tomorrow why the photos are in the wrong

Bye for now

Going to try adding photos now
