Day 15 changing to date instead

A roadside memorial perched on top of rock

A bus stop with rocks inside plastic or glass enclosures
No idea why and most aren’t like this but the traditional adobe style bricks

Hand carved bed frame in a tiny village

Spectacular purple bush

Alex putting on my license plate finally

I had this “Everyman’s meal” at a crafts fair in Santiago
Very tasty made from beans, squash, corn and a sauce
Almost every one who came in ordered one although most got the one with meat

This lazy guy was just lying around letting everyone pet him

Abstract fish sculpture at entrance to small town

Table from same as bed pic
Would have loved to have had one sent home, but the shipping would break me

About a dozen of those fish sculptures

Grape arbor on the trellis of the restaurant where I ate lunch
She said many customers eat them so I had some too
Tasty but guess I’m spoiled not liking the seeds

favorite my favorite (weeping willow) tree cut out unfortunately in a shape that allows visibility
So yesterday was interesting in that even though it was really hot on the way by the time I got to Pichilemu where I slept it was pretty nipping at the beach.  Got there a little before dark and didn’t wanna spend any time trying to find a place. So I was going to go for the first one I saw however, before I could see a hotel, I saw a bunch of guys standing with signs, saying beach, house or apartment or whatever so I went with the first guy I saw and he said he had a complete house. Sounded a little sketchy, but, I followed him up a mile hill and sure enough he had his own house and another house outback. I’m thinking score, get inside and there’s  Toaster, microwave but unfortunately, no Wi-Fi and it was starting to get nippy inside so I pointed to the Potbelly stove and he said yes so we went and got some wood we started that up and was soon nice and toasty in there. He asked me if I needed anything else and I said no so he left to go to his house next-door 5 minutes later of course I was over there at his house and hey dude there’s no towels in here OK so he rummages around and comes out with two I said OK good night and then I discovered there is also no soap anywhere. Fortunately I have some and the shower worked great so I took a shower used those towels and jumped in the bed because room still warm from the dying fire and turned out to be a pretty good deal totally safe, said it was owned by his mother . Half the windows were unlocked so I managed to get all of them except one locked.  There were no doors on the rooms so I couldn’t lock the bedroom so I just went with the flow and itt turned out to be perfectly safe. No problem bike wasn’t disturbed, nobody tried to get in.  I’m sure my wife would’ve freaked out. Also turned out no tp but I had some.

Today is a totally different deal. I rode along the Beach most of the way, which was a little chilly so I was glad when the road turned inland and got to be the perfect temperature I couldn’t believe how great it was and then I got here to Constitution, which is also known as a beach/surf town and this time I didn’t wanna End up someplace I wasn’t happy with so when I got close to town I started looking at Booking.com and chose this place which turned out to be pretty good except for the fact first time I’ve been in a hotel that was even halfway decent, it doesn’t have a fridge  so no cold drinks but everything else is great. I asked the manager for a sink stopper and he said nobody has ever asked him for one the whole time that his hotel’s been in operation so he took a picture of the hole where the stopper should go. He said he was going to go buy one, an hour later one of the  House keepers came by and gave me one.  That was pretty cool.
Auto correct is not as good as hoped for so you know why my English isn’t up to par
Passed many great scenic views of the beach and rocks below and everything but really after coming down one hill and seeing one and I’m saying wow that’s just like a beach I saw in Greece I’m thinking what the hell why bother?  Unless there is something super Duper there it could be Laguna Beach or a beach in Oregon or a beach in Florida so why bother?  I’m trying to take mostly pics of the stuff I’ve never seen in the states or never expect to see again and that’s what good memories are for me
Heading for Concepcion tomorrow.  Yes I was a little ambitious thinking I was going to make it to Concepción tonight but I’m not hurrying I’m stopping a lot and I’m on vacation, so why bother pushing it specially since I don’t have any reservations anywhere so instead of doing the speed limit which is 90 that’s kilometers of course which is like 55. I’m often doing like 70 which suits me just fine. I can look around a lot more and actually get to see stuff instead of a blur.  My plodding does bother some doofs but that’s what the dotted line is for right?
