Day 16

Not an exciting day for photographs except for a restaurant I ate lunch at with a view for miles in both directions

As you can see the smoke from the fires hasn’t made a dent in the scenery here

Today was all about riding - it was up and down and around, twisties 90% of the time.  I was just having such a great time riding though the further south I go the cooler it’s getting so I guess I’ll be staying away from the beach more because inland a lot warmer

Did go thru the busiest town ever, think it was market day.  I gave up waiting in line and went over the double yellows to pass a zillion cars after I noticed the light was only green for 17 seconds per change
I GPSed the route and there were two exactly the same distance but one was faster and one was more scenic so of course I took the scenic route and I went for miles without seeing a car. It was awesome.

Tomorrow, I’m gonna start heading inland towards the lake region, which is in the center of Chile and getting closer to the mountains and there should be a lot of vineyards along the way  as well as all the lakes

Not a wine guy but I do like moscato so gonna try and find a bottle to of that

I’ve been keeping in contact with the guy from Death Valley that Dave and I met after Christmas and he’s having a great time with his tour.. He just finished doing two days of rain so hopefully after today which he said was great continues for him.

Did pass two sections of route about a mile long where the forest fire recently had gone across the road because both sides were totally burned out but not even much smell left. Glad I didn’t have to witness any peoples houses burned down or animals killed even though I know there are a lot in the area.
